VISION
To be a space for contemplating "contemporaneity" through art.
MISSION
Artistic expression, which seamlessly transcends boundaries and is diverse, personal, and social, has created numerous possibilities beyond people's imagination. Reflecting on art means reflecting on our past, present, and future. UESHIMA MUSEUM sees the significance and mission of collecting artworks to cultivate true freedom of imagination and innovative thinking, as well as to pass on the perspectives and challenges artists present through their works to the next generation.
Through a wide range of activities, including creating the opportunity to support artists, and collaborating with educational institutions, UESHIMA MUSEUM COLLECTION aims to contribute to the revitalization of the art scene and embody "contemporaneity" while engaging with society.

ABOUT ”UESHIMA MUSEUM COLLECTION”
UESHIMA MUSEUM COLLECTION is a contemporary art collection curated in Feb 2022 by Kankuro Ueshima, a versatile entrepreneur and investor in Japan. He began his full-scale collection activities ever since.
Ueshima has always been agile and responsive in the concept of "contemporaneity”. He quickly embodies the future and proactively contributes to building a better society which is universal to both business and art. Based on this belief, this collection focuses on artists who strongly evoke a sense of "contemporaneity". The collection is formed to not only include internationally active artists, but also artists who have just started their careers, and those who, despite having built an artistic career, have not yet received sufficient recognition.
